Something Wicked

About The Artist

On an otherwise lovely day in 1985 I was found among the cabbage leaves . Upon noticing that I was not in fact a member of the Rabbit Militia bent on vegetable destruction, I was taken in and an attempt was made to raise me as a human. I spent most of my child hood after learning to walk, in the foot hills of the costal range in the Pacific North West, wearing more flora than the average acre of earth, and scaring the fauna just a bit more than they startled me.

There was never a monster under my bed, no room could be found to house one. The fabulous box lived there instead. This box had paper, and string, my prized crayola box, watercolor paints, beads, and of course pipe cleaners in every eye splitting hue on the planet. Hours every day would be devoted to finding new combinations of it’s contents.

Since then I have dabbled in Polymer clay, Industrial metal work, Book binding, Calligraphy, Manuscript illumination, Knitting, Spinning, Weaving, Glass bead making, Seed bead weaving, Paper making, and many more too numerous to mention.

In my travels I have acquired a vintage automobile that may run someday, a quite awesome shoe collection, various and sundry animals including but not limited to; two dogs, three cats, one semi aquatic newt, several rose bush grazing deer, a mystery rabbit, and a phantom house lizard. My best acquisition to date has been my traveling companion for the last five years, my “not perfect but just right for me” husband. He has kept his cool through all, even the “experiments” with dyeing wool that left a very strange smell in the kitchen.
